  • We don't sell your health information or use it for advertising.

Who we are

Septerix ("we", "us") is responsible for your personal information as the data controller. Where your psychiatrist acts as an independent healthcare provider, they may also be responsible for your medical records under the laws of their country.

Contact us about privacy at privacy@septerix.com.

What we collect

When you visit our website

Our hosting provider records basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request, to keep the site running and secure. We don't use advertising or analytics trackers. See our Cookie Notice.

When you request a demo

Your email address and the country you live in. Please don't send health details through the demo form.

When you become a patient

  • Contact and account details: name, date of birth, email, phone, address, and login details.
  • Health information: your medical history, check-in answers, diagnoses, prescriptions, visit notes, and messages with your care team.
  • Payment and insurance details: processed by our payment provider. We don't store full card numbers.
  • Video visits: visits happen live. If you agree to AI note drafting, the visit audio is processed to create a draft note for your psychiatrist to review. Otherwise, we don't record visits.

How we use it

  • To provide your care, including evaluations, follow-ups, prescriptions, and check-ins.
  • To create summaries and draft notes with AI, unless you've turned these off.
  • To review flagged answers and follow up on safety concerns.
  • To send you the demo you asked for.
  • To take payment, provide support, and keep our service secure.
  • To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping medical records.

Under the GDPR and similar laws, we rely on:

  • Contract: to provide the service you sign up for.
  • Healthcare: health information is processed to provide medical care by professionals bound by confidentiality.
  • Consent: to send you the demo, for AI note drafting, and for any use of your data to train AI. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation: for example, keeping medical records for the period the law requires.
  • Legitimate interests: keeping our service secure and working well.

Who we share it with

  • Your care team: your psychiatrist and the clinical staff who support your care.
  • Service providers: companies that host our systems, process payments, and provide video and AI services. They act on our instructions and must protect your information.
  • Others you ask us to share with: such as your GP or therapist.
  • When the law requires it: or to protect someone's life in an emergency.

We don't sell your personal information and don't share it for advertising.

AI and your data

AI services process your check-ins and, if you agree, visit audio, only to produce summaries and draft notes for your psychiatrist. Our AI providers may not use your information to train their models. We won't use your information to train AI models without your separate written permission. See How we use AI.

Where it is stored

We aim to store your information in the European Economic Area. If it's transferred outside it, we use legal safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Medical records: for as long as the law in your country requires.
  • Demo requests: until you ask us to stop contacting you, or for up to 12 months.
  • Payment records: for as long as tax and accounting laws require.

Your rights

You can ask to:

  • See a copy of your information.
  • Correct information that's wrong.
  • Delete your information, unless we must keep it by law.
  • Limit or object to how we use it.
  • Receive your information in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.

Email privacy@septerix.com. We'll reply within one month. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Security

We use encryption, access controls, and staff confidentiality to protect your information. Only people who need it for your care or to run the service can see it.

Children

Septerix is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy. If a change is significant, we'll tell you before it takes effect.
